What's my tree?

I have a tree which I would like to know what it is. In early spring it has white cluster flowers on in but it also has these long spikes which are a concern for me with my grandchildren. What is it? I love the flowering what is the best way to prune or is getting rid of it the better option. Thank you.

I'm sorry, but without being able to see your tree, I can't say for certain what it is. I'd recommend bringing a sample of the leaves and flowers to the folks at your local garden center or county extension office. After viewing the samples, the staff should be able to tell you what you have.
