What spacing is best for Ixora for hedging?

I have bought Ixora, the Prince of Orange to make a hedge at the back fence. How far apart should I be planting it to make a hedge.

Prince of Orange Ixora needs a frost-free location with acidic soil where it can grow 3 to 6 feet (1 to 2 meters) tall. It will reach a similar spread. So, to create a hedge you can plant them 2-4 feet apart, and they should fill in. For quicker results, space closely. If you don't mind waiting several years for them to fill in, you could use the wider spacing.
