I went away for three days and came back to find my hydrangea terribly wilted. I watered it first thing this morning and gave it a healthy dose of water later to the roots and it's still terribly wilted. Is there hope?

Thanks for writing. There is still hope --- hydrangeas can dry out to the point where they lose all their foliage, then start to recover and put out new growth again. So I'd recommend being patient and keeping it evenly moist, but not wet, to help it along.
