Transplanting Gold Mop Cypress

I have a three year old Gold Mop Cypress that I would like to transplant to another area of the garden. It is only about 2 1/2 feet tall. I read that they may not like to be transplanted. Is that so? I trust you rather than an unknown author. Thanks! Lauren laurenb174@gmail.com

Well cypress don't like to be moved in general, but if you must move it, do it in the early spring while the weather is cool and moist and dig as large of a root ball as possible. It should survive fine, but when you move an evergreen, there's never any guarantees.
