does used coffee grounds help the soil and ashes, wood ashes ? Cadiz,Ohio 43987
Hi,
Thanks for writing. You can add coffee grounds to your compost pile --- once the grounds break down, they can be very helpful to the soil. The same goes for wood ashes, but you'll need to be careful of the amount. Ash typically has a very high pH and too much ash in your compost could make the pH too high for your garden plants.
