"Shrivelled" dwarf burning bush

"I live in Mi, zone 5 with clay soil, full to part sun. I planted three dwarf burning bushes two years ago--2 are doing well and are the same size but the 3rd one looks sickly...the flowerbed has mulch, and I have fertilized the bush a little and checked for pest but haven't seen anything. I do have neighborhood cats that visit from time to time but the other two bushes appear very healthy. Help P "

Thanks for writing. Without being able to see your suffering burning bush, I'm afraid I can't say for sure what the problem is. It could be any number of things --- I wish I could help more, but without seeing it, I can't even make an educated guess.

The staff at your county extension service should be able to help better, though, if you can questions they have about the plant (specific symptoms, details about the growing conditions, etc.). You should be able to find contact information for your county extension office in the government pages of your local phone book.
