Thanks for writing. Depending on the type of honeysuckle it is, you can try cutting it all back to about 2 or 3 feet tall; some types of honeysuckle can sprout new growth from there. Otherwise, your best bet is to remove a quarter of the oldest branches every year to encourage thin, healthy growth.
If it's too unmanageable and overgrown for that, your best bet may be to cut it all back, dig it out, and start from scratch.
