Pot need to plant a 1 gallon hydrange
What size pot do I need to plant a 1 gallon Hydrangea? And do they do will in a pot?
Hi, You can grow a hydrangea in a pot. If you have a one gallon plant, just look for a pot that has more room for the plant's roots to spread out. There's no magic size. You can plant it in a large planter or in a pot that's one size up from the gallon pot it's growing in now. You'll just have to move it up to a larger pot down the line as the plant grows. These plants will not overwinter in containers in most parts of the country, but in your part of CA, it should do fine as long as you don't forget to water it and keep it in a lightly shady area.
