Planting young Japanese Maples
Hi, So sorry we didn't get back to you in October. Our Garden Doctor program was being rebuilt so we're just getting caught up now. Yes, you could have planted your Japanese maples in the ground this fall. Simply plant them at the same depth they are growing in their pots and mulch them, keeping the soil slightly moist for the first couple of weeks. They'll just need a sunny spot and well drained soil.
