Little Princess Spirea

I have 6 little princess spirea's lining my front porch, my porch faces south and gets full sun. One of the spirea's is beautiful year after year, it's the one at the corner of the house - at the end of the line of 6. The other 5 constantly look dead. Same water, same sun. Is there anything I can do to make these plants look healthy? I've had them for 8 years now and they aren't even a foot tall, except for the one that does well on the end, it's beautiful. Thank you!

There must be something different in the environment that is causing one plant to thrive and the others to suffer. Although you may be providing the same care to all, perhaps there's something about the site that is causing the difference. For example, there may be more heat reflected off the house onto the ones that are suffering. Or perhaps the one on the end gets better air movement, cooling it off. Or perhaps water from a downspout drains there. Or perhaps the soil is poorer in the area where the spireas are suffering.
