How to get rid of Sumac
I have a Sumac tree that is growing outside my patio.I don't know how it got there it wasn't planted
This tree is sending shoots everywhere,it is certainly very invasive.
How do I get rid of the shoots,that are sprouting and spreading inside my patio,also will it comprimise the foundation of the house.

Hi, Sumac can be very difficult to get rid of. I would cut the main trunk (and any other trunks you find) down to the ground and then brush the exposed surface of the tree with a brush-killing herbicide. You can buy brush killers at places like Home Depot and Lowes. Just be sure sumac is mentioned on the label.
