How do I revive a Kangaroo plant??

I recently bought a plant that is called Kangaroo paws. It was fuzzy, pink and starting to open I planted it in the ground and now its all but dead what can I do to revive it? I gets partcial shade and well watered?? thank you Lori Lee in beaufort, SC

Thanks for writing. Kangaroo paw does best in full sun and well-drained soil, so check your plant for signs of rot. If you're seeing rot, then I'd cut back on the watering. Or, transplant your kangaroo paw into a container with good drainage holes.
