Getting rid of Flowering Cherry tree suckers

I am working with 3 very large flowering cherry trees, the roots have come up through the ground in the garden ans suckers are appearing everywhere, how does I get rid of them without killing the trees.

Hi, All you can do is trim them off as you see them. It's a natural part of this tree's growth habit so there's nothing you can do to stop the tree from producing suckers except to clip them off as they appear.
