Flopping hydrangea

I have three Hydrangea paniculata 'Grandiflora' bushes in my front landscaping. They are about 4 yrs old, and no matter what pruning advice I try, they flop to the ground at the first heavy rain. I want them to stay in bush form, rather than tree. Is there any best way to prune them to prevent the flopping? Or do I need to give them some kind of support?
