Dogwood doesn't bloom

We have a dogwood tree that has not bloomed once the 10 years that we have lived here. It was purchased from a nursery and planted by previous owners, so I don't know exactly how old it is. The leaves are green and the tree appears healthy and grow larger each year. It is in a fairly shaded location. What can I do to encourage it to bloom?

Hi, Well if the tree is looking healthy, but does not bloom, it's probably because it's not getting enough sun. Dogwoods like filtered shade and will not bloom well in deeper shade. There's probably not much you can do to encourage it to flower short of moving it or cutting down some trees around it.
