Deer eating tips of maples

We have lived in Snoqualmie Wa. for the past 7 years. This area is growing rapidly and the deer are starting to eat everything in sight. My yard seems to be the local supermarket and the deer are eating the tips of my ornamental maples. Can I use Deer Off? or will this burn the leaves? Fencing is not an option because of homeowner restrictions.

Certainly try Deer Off or one of many deer deterrents. Read the instructions carefully and follow them to the letter. It is often necessary to trade off and use other deterrents as the deer get used to the one product you are using. Deer Off is effective as a taste and smell deterrent, but there are lots of other ones on the market. It is applied as a foliar spray and should be reapplied at least every 3 months.
