Darf Alberta Spruces with spider mite infestation

I live in Zone 4 Plattsburgh, NY. This spring had 3 mature dwarf Alberta sruce trees added to the landscape. They were bought a big box store and had been infested with spider mites. (Very bad in the record heat recently) I'm using organic treatments (inc. beneficial insects) but the damaged areas look bad. What can I do to green them up again? Should I prune when the weather breaks?

Hi,

Thanks for writing. Unfortunately, there's not anything you can really to do repair the damaged growth. I'd wait for a year if you can --- next year's new growth should help cover up the older damaged needles.
