brown spots on all plants

why do plants, bushes, trees get brown spots on the leaves then eventually turn brown & fall off.

Well the reason probably varies by species, but generally, brown spots are caused by a fungus and if you've had a wet summer, it's spread from plant to plant by raindrops hitting the foliage. It does not kill the plants but makes them unsightly, but it's definitely a sign of too much moisture in the atmosphere."
