brandywine viburnum in swampy area

"if you have swampy area where it doesn't drain well, will brandywine viburnum thrive there? what simple plants (one can get at Lowe's or Home depot) can you grow in a swampy area?"

Most Viburnums generally like well drained soil, but arrowwood viburnum will take soggy conditions. Some other shrubs that take wet soil include winterberry, summersweet (clethra), black chokeberry (aronia), redtwig dogwood, hardy hibiscus, and purple osier willow.
