boxwood is seperated in the middle.

my boxwood in front of the house is separated down the middle. can i tie it together?

Did the trunk or main stems split, causing it to open up? Tying it together may hold it in place temporarily, but it's unlikely that it will graft back together to form a solid connection. The split will be susceptible to further separation during heavy snows which will tend to pull it apart again.
