What type of plants should I plant in a are where the soil is hard, and the Sun beats down on Side of the house! Live in Ft. Worth, Texas!
Thanks for taking my question! I have a section on the side of the house that the sun just beats down on it! I have tried to plant roses, and even some forms of cactus...to no avail! What I have seen, that has grown for a short period of time is Lemon Balm (after I had planted it two years prior)! To my amazement, out of the blue shows up years later. I still laugh when I think about it. Any advice what to plant? I live in Ft. Worth Texas! Thanks... Rhonn
If the soil is extremely hard, it may be well worth your while to amend it with organic matter such as compost. All plants will grow better with some organic matter in the soil to loosen the soil structure and permit better air and water penetration.
