"what are the best plants around an above ground pool "
Submitted by BHGPhotoContest

Hi,

Thanks for writing! Are the plants likely to get splashed on by chlorinated water from the pool? Or is there a fair amount of chlorinated water from the pool that will spill over the sides into the planting area? If so, you'll probably want to consider tough plants such as:

> Chastetree (which will probably act like a perennial in your area)

> Palms (which you'd need to grow as an annual or bring inside for the winter)

> Moss rose -- http://www.bhg.com/gardening/plant-dictionary/annual/moss-rose/

> Lantana -- http://www.bhg.com/gardening/plant-dictionary/annual/lantana/

> Daylily -- http://www.bhg.com/gardening/plant-dictionary/perennial/daylily/

> Rugosa roses -- http://www.bhg.com/gardening/plant-dictionary/rose/species-rose/
