Rose Bush Pruning

How far back do I cut my newly established rose bushes?
Submitted by mkathyking

Hi,

Thanks for writing. It depends on the type of roses you have and how vigorous they are. Many people in your area cut their hybrid tea, floribunda, and grandiflora roses back to about 10-12 inches tall every year to encourage healthy new growth. You can also do this with some types of shrub roses.
