cant get roses to climb on arbour
I don't know what zone you are in, but there are few climbers that are winter hardy. I live in zone 5 and there are only one or two that will survive and they don't always do a good job of covering an arbor. William Baffin is a climbing rose that was developed for northern gardeners. It's part of a group of roses called Canadian Explorer roses. I have it and it does o.k., but never covers the top of my arbor. Climbing Blaze rose is another climber that is hardy to zone 4. You could try either of them to see what works. Sadly, there's not a lot of choice for climbers in the north."
