Black spot of rose is a common fungal disease during humid weather. To prevent the disease from developing the rose will need to be sprayed regularly with a fungicide. The fungicide won't cure the disease, but will protect new growth from developing the fungus. Another option is to replace the rose with one which is resistant to the disease.
