Pruning a potato bush

Several different plants are called potato bush or potato tree. All are some species of Solanum. If you'd like to maintain the plant in a tree form, remove any sprouts that arise from the trunk, and simply shape the top to maintain a uniform shape. You can either shear it to maintain a tight ball shape or prune to side shoots to maintain a looser form.
