deadheading geraniums

I would like to know how to deadhead my geraniums so they don't become leggy. thanks

Thanks for writing. Deadheading means cutting off faded flowers so your plant looks and blooms better, but doesn't really affect legginess. To deadhead them, just pinch the flowerstalk off where it meets the main stem.

If your become leggy, you'll need to periodically pinch the top inch or two off the stems. That will make them grow shoots from along the stem instead of growing tall and lanky.
