There are a couple of easy ways to propagate wisteria...the first is to take a clipping about five inches long in spring and dip the end in a rooting powder available at your local nursery and insert in a small container filled with a seed-starting mixture. It should root within a week or so...the other way is to look for little runners around the base of the plant. You can dig these up, pot them up in a container or replant them to another sunny spot in the garden. be sure to provide them with sturdy support as wisteria truly is a beautiful strangler.
