Transplating Rhubarb - small stocks on them

I had to relocate my rhubarb plant. I live in ND and I think I moved them a little later than what you describe here. There are stocks and leaves on the rhubarb already. I just dug it out and transplanted it, stock and leaves on the plant. My question is should I go cut the stock and leaf off or just let it be?

If the plant is sending up a seed stalk, go ahead and remove it so the plant puts no energy into producing seeds. However, keep all the leaves intact. They'll help the plant recover from the transplant.
