Yucca Plants Won't Flower

We planted 2 Variegated Yucca Plants, in the Spring of 2007. They're in a garden which gets 6 to 8 hours of sun a day. In 2007 they both got a Stalk & Flower, but nothing last year, nor this year. I know it's not to early because other peoples have the Stalks, they just aren't blooming yet. Ours have nothing. The Plants look healthy & have doubled in size since we planted them. Have you any idea what would keep a Yucca from Blooming? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Sheri Greet Zone 5B

Your variegated yuccas may simply be still getting established in their new location. Sometimes it takes several years of adjustment to a new location before they bloom regularly. (The bloom the first year may actually have been a stress response to the transplanting.) If your plants are growing vigorously and are healthy, it's a matter of patience for them to reach blooming size.
