Why are my Irises drooping down to the ground?

I need help with my bearded iris. They are healthy, except for they are drooping over right to the ground. They start nice and tall, but as soon as the bloom opens they fall. They are planted on the south side of my home. I moved them about 2 years ago from the west side of my home, because they stoped blooming...not enough sun because of trees, since then they've never stood up again.

Are the irises in full sun on the south side of your house, or do they get some shade there? It sounds as though the stems are stretching and weak, as though they aren't getting enough sunlight. If providing more sunlight isn't possible, perhaps you could keep the stems upright by staking them.
