When to transplant

Can I transplant asters in the fall? I'm in Zone 5. What is the best time?

The best time to transplant asters is in the early spring, just as they begin to break dormancy. If you move them in fall, while they are in bloom, they will have a hard time adjusting. In zone 5, I'd say to move them in April.
