What plants work best in my new zone?

I will be moving from Ohio to S.Carolina and would like to know if I some of the plants I have in OH. will do well in S.C. Namely clematis, bleeding heart, lavendar, hydrangea and burning bush. Where can I find a list of plants/bushes native to S.C.?

A good place to start for a list of plants native to South Carolina is the South Carolina Native Plant Society web site.

Many of the plants that you grow in Ohio will likely also do well in South Carolina. You can use our Zone Finder, typing in your new Zip Code, to determine what your new Zone will be. Then go to the advanced search page of our plant encyclopedia to see which plants will grow in that Zone.
