What gardening region am I in?

I have lived in Oklahoma just north of Oklahoma City in Edmond for two years. I am embarrassed to admit that I have not been able to figure out which gardening region I live in according to BHG. Is it the midwest, high plains, southwest? A map or an interactive box to type in the zip code to determine the appropriate garden region for your readers would be very helpful. Thanks so much!

According to the Oklahoma County Extension Service, you are in US Dept. of Agriculture gardening zone 6b. The USDA determines gardening zones based on how cold it can get in the winter. Check with the county extension service to be sure you are using landscape plants that will survive the cold winters in your zone. Thank you for your suggestion on having a zip code/gardening zone service on the BH&G site. I will pass it along to the site designers.--Stephanie Hainsfurther, Albuquerque, New Mexico
