I live in Zone 5 (lower midwest) and I have to transplant my peonies now (4/25). They are about a foot tall right now. What will happen to them this year as well as next by moving them now. I have no choice but to do this. I know Fall is the best time, but that is not an option. Thanks.
Thanks for writing. If you transplant your peonies now, they probably won't bloom this year or next. But once they get established, they should start to bloom again as normal.
