PLANTING A FLOWER GARDEN

I'm going to be planting a flower garden this spring. There are some large surface rocks in the garden and it is in partial shade. I would like it to be low maintenance. It's approx 10 X 20. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

Go to BHG&G's garden plans list at:http://www.bhg.com/bhg/category.jhtml?categoryid=/templatedata/bhg/category/data/gardenplans.xml
Look at the Shady garden, which can be easily incorporated into your own plan for a rock garden. You might also want to add a few of my partial-shade and low-maintenance favorites: Dwarf plumbago (Ceratostigma plumbaginoides), Bleeding-heart (Dicentra) and Astilbe.
