My surprise with dracenas

Dracenas? I think that is what they are...I planted two, one in each of two pots last summer. Thought they'd die with the cold temps, but they are still thriving; guess they are perennials, so, do I cut them back now or just let them grow in their pots? Sharon Edgefield County, SC

Hi Sharon,

Thanks for writing. It depends on the type of dracaena and how bad they look. Some don't cut back very well and others do. Unless they look really winter damaged, I'd probably leave them be and let them grow.
