Mary's Garden

Any idea what flowers may have been called "Silver bells, cockle shells and pretty maids"? I've been wanting to plant a Mary's garden

Hi, You know I don't really know the answer to this. I'm sure they were probably Victorian-era flowers such as sweet peas, Bells of Ireland, dianthus, etc, but I'm not really positive about what plants this rhyme refers to.
