Lupines wilting

My lupines came back nicely--looked very strong. Our weather has been cool and rainy here in IL--an now portions of my lupines look wilted and limp. Is this from the weather or is something else causing it?

If the roots of lupine are kept too moist, they could be developing root rot.  They tend to be a short-lived perennial.
