Lavender and rosemary don't grow

My herbs, lavender, thyme and rosemary plants are not growing much (except for the lemon thyme which is doing well). They don't have flowers either. They get full sun only in the afternoon. What am I doing wrong? I use organic fish fertilizer.

The herbs you mention all crave full sun (at least six hours a day)and very well-drained soil. They don't need much water once established. Are they getting six hours of sun? If not, that may not be the best place for them. Does water drain away quickly or do their feet stay wet? Work in some organic matter around the base with a pitchfork or cultivator, being careful not to disturb their roots. Are you watering too frequently? These plants should exist on your average rainfall alone.
