How to keep Penstemons blooming all summer.

I purchased a Penstemon "Red Riding Hood" from a local greenhouse. The first stalks bloomed well. What do I do now? Cut the stalks? or deadhead the spent blooms? The plant is suppose to bloom all summer. Thanks for your help.

Hi, Well after the flowers fade, you can go ahead and cut off the faded flower spikes. If you do that, you might get another flush of bloom, but penstemons are perennials that don't bloom nonstop all summer.
