Dry carpet phlox

"I planted some carpet phlox 6 weeks ago. A couple of the plants are looking brown but are green at the bottom so I am holding out hope. Should I trim back the brown parts?"

Hi,

Thanks for writing. You can certainly remove the brown parts --- it will make your phlox look better and may help encourage it to produce more new, fresh growth.
