Cutting back Irises

After blooming, do you cut the remaining greenery down to 2 or 3 inches or do you leave them as is?

Hi, The best thing to do with bearded irises is to cut them back at this time of year. Leave about four to six inches of leaves on the plant and clip them into a fan shape.
