Are there any plants that can grow through myrtle ground cover & keep coming back?

My front terace is covered with myrtle, and it keeps overrunning other plants. Are there any flowering perennials that can grow thru the myrtle? I've tried spreading rose bushes, hydrangra, black eyed susan's, day lillies & they keep getting run over. I live in southwestern Michigan. Thanks.

Hi, Well without knowing more about the site (shade or sun, soil, slope or flat, etc) I can't be a lot of help here. Myrtle is generally a shade plant, but you list plants you've tried to plant with it that are all sun-loving so I'm a bit confused about where this myrtle is growing. Give us more information to go on about the site and we might be able to help.
