wild onion controls

How can I get rid of the wild onions growing in my yard? They are deep and plentiful!

Wild onion is a difficult weed to control. Their thin leaves and waxy surfaces help prevent herbicides from adhering to them. It may help to mow them off at a high setting before applying the herbicide to get better uptake. Broadleaf herbicides containing 2,4-D, MCPP, and dicamba will help control wild onion. But it usually takes repeat applications. The best times to apply it are in late fall and late winter.
