Watering of new sod on slope
Well it all depends on how much rain you have, how much sun the site gets, and what kind of soil you have underneath it. However, as a general rule an inch of water per week should be enough to get your sod established. This, of course, can vary by the conditions I've listed above. Sandy soils, for example, drain more quickly than loamy soils so more water might be needed. Or, if you get an unexpected hot spell. I would just check the sod regularly with your finger to see if the soil is moist, but not wet through the root zone.
