Lawn Turning Yellow

I live in South Texas and have carpet grass and flortam on my lawn. I recently fertilized with Scott's Turf Builder and watered it as directed. The grass blades are turning a light yellow green color. Can you help please?

Are you sure that it was just fertilizer? Many Scotts products are combinations of fertilizer and weed killer and the labels look a lot alike. weed killer often turns turf yellow, especially if it's during a summer hot spell. The good news is, turf usually bounces back pretty quickly.

The only way that fertilizer alone would turn your lawn yellow is if you overappplied it and it's starting to burn your grass. As long as you followed all instructions, that should not be the case here.
