Getting rid of quack grass in lawn

I live in PA and have a lot of quack grass in my lawn. It's a broad bladed grass. Is there a way to get rid of it? Thanks, Sharon

There is no selective herbicide that will kill quackgrass and not harm the desirable turf grass. To eliminate it you'll need to spray it with a non-selective herbicide such as glyphosate (Roundup) or smother it out by covering it with black plastic for a year, then you can reseed or resod the affected area.
