Burned St. Augustine

Hi I live in Southern California and have St. Augustine lawn in front yard. I purchased Scotts Weed & Feed that unfortunately AFTER using on the lawn, found out was not to be used on St. Augustine. I now have some seriously burned, hay like sections of grass. Is it possible to restore these areas?

You will just have to wait and see if it comes back. It may. Keep it watered and wait a month or two to see if any signs of life appear.  If not, then of course you will just have to resod the affected areas. It takes a while for the chemicals to degrade in the soil, a few weeks to a month or more. So don't try to replant immediately.
