What would be some good bushes to plant in front yard?

It is very shaded in the front, currently have a holly bush and several azaleas that are slowly dying. They keep losing branches. I do have hostas in front and they do great. In the summer impatiens also do great. New design ideas would be very appreciated. Thank you
